Last week I was invited to IKEA's press conference for the めざせ!眠りの先進国キャンペーン。
'the good sleep campaign'
Sleep seems like a small thing but it effects the quality of life in long term!
They did some surveys at the beginning of the seminar, asking if we think our sleep is affected by external factors, such as our bedroom setting.. A good percentage of people did care about the setting of their bedroom..and this is where IKEA can help!
The seminar was filled with IKEA beds..really helped to set the mood for us to want to sleep. hehe
There were also guest speakers who shared their opinions of good sleep.
What I took away from this seminar was that culture really does affect how people think about sleep. It's sad that people in Tokyo don't think that sleep is very important..
My case on the other hand.. I never really slept much..and slept even less after having a baby. However, I do feel that beds are really important for your back..I think this really affects your sleep and how you feel the next morning.
IKEA offers really affordable mattresses and they have all different kinds. They are currently offering a special service during this campaign, where they pick up the sleep comfort products from you, deliver them to you, and pick up the old bed frame and mattress for only 2990yen!!!
here if more info on that: IKEA GOOD SLEEP CAMPAIGN
