How cute are Mommy & Me features!? A lot of my new followers usually don't know what I do or how I began to do what I do. Though I like to keep this mysterious, I'm always up for a Mommy & Me feature! A few weeks ago, Rafia Jewerly, which is the sister brand of VidaKush asked to do an interview with me. I was flattered! Also it was the first time I had to say out loud how things changed since becoming a mom after my Tokyo Party Days...It was nostalgic.  Last year, Zooey and I did a mommy & me shoot together for Mother's Day with Space 46 Boutique and this was just a photoshoot and no interview. When I look back it's really crazy how much has changed and how much Zooey has grown! Anyhow, anyone who knows me knows that I'm camera shy and prefer to be behind the camera, but here are some snippets of our feature and you can read the interview here: MOMMY & ME  P.S. STYLE HAUS JAPAN - THANK YOU ❤️

Hi.. This is one of those really late night posts where I'm feeling a little nostalgic and missing Tokyo..So it's been about a year and a half now since we moved back to the states from Tokyo and I'm still trying to find my place here.  I'm starting to find it slowly tho and meeting a lot of wonderful friends along the way! While I'm not feeling as influential as I used to be in Tokyo, I was flattered to be featured on Style Haus in Japan recently and was reminded of all my accomplishments and amazing things that I've done in the past. Everything was challenged the moment I became a mother. Motherhood is hard. Raising a child is HARD. It might seem like I'm always doing fun things with Zooey but we only share the best moments on social media! I praise all those moms who have the time and energy to do super fun things with their kids and travel together as a family.  Balancing work, maintaining a healthy marriage and raising a child are a few of the hardest challenges that I've had to face in life but at the end of the day, looking at my daughter Zooey's face while she's sleeping fills my heart with so much love.. and I tell myself every night, as long as I try harder tomorrow, I'm not the worst mother in the world.  

I haven't been going out as often as I would like and will be focusing more on Zooey's blog from now.  I feel a little underwhelmed at the events here in LA and being that I used to love reporting about events, it's been disappointing to not be able to take great photos that are worthy of posting..The party scene here just hasn't been as interesting as the party/fashion scene in TOKYO. I think I'm just a hard critic tho because I've seen it ALL! I'm still up for attending the events tho so if you are a brand or PR company that needs some coverage, feel free to reach out to me and we'll go from there. On another note, Zooey and I will be going to PLAYGROUND in Las Vegas to cover the Kids Show! Please follow along with us on this adventure!

 Dear all, I contributed to an editorial in CHINA SELF MAGAZINE on sale NOW!!!

I was asked to introduce TOKYO'S TOP CLUB..a place where the most FASHIONABLE PEOPLE in TOKYO go..and of course, I chose my home, LE BARON TOKYO.  I'm not usually used to taking fashion snaps, but I did my best and want to personally thank MOMOちゃん for helping me too!!!!

Thank you friends for letting me to take your photos and allowing me to share them for this editorial.  It's unfortunate that I cannot read chinese so if anyone would like to translate this article for me I would greatly appreciate it!! hehe Also, I would like to mention how super disappointed I am that they spelled my last name WRONG and didn't even introduce my BLOG link...when i was told they would. Anypoo...I'm happy that I was able to introduce Le Baron.. my home away from home...of which I will have to take a break from for a while because of the baby in my belly. hehe Happy reading!

MAI meets TOKYO GIRLS in GINZA MAGAZINE NOVEMBER 2011 ISSUE. ON SHELVES NOW! ♥

 Guess what! I have a 2 page spread in Ginza Magazine this month!!! 

 I'm even in the table of contents!!!! so excited!! hehe

Here it is!! I would scan the pages but I actually recommend you to go pick up a copy so that you can take your time and read it all!! I was so honored to be invited to do this project!!! I was actually in LA when it was decided so I flew back for a week to attend all of the events then flew back to LA straight after for my wedding!! That was my determination to do this! hehe I kind of feel like these 2 pages show how my blog is...My party reports finally mean something! hehe Anyhow, I want to say thank you to Fujitaさん for believing in me, and all my friends who were at the events and allowed me to take 'fashion snaps' of them.  As you might not know, I'm not used to taking people's 'fashion snaps'...I can see how difficult it is!! Well, I just wanted to share this and hope you all pick up your copy of GINZA MAGAZINE now. It's actually a pretty fun issue and I love how they've renewed their magazine!

ISETAN x VOGUE x MAISASSYGIRL SHOW WINDOW UP! 4.6.2011(wed)-4.19.2011(tues) @ SHINJUKU ISETAN! ♡

I went to Shinjuku Isetan at midnight to help set up my window display for the Vogue meets Isetan project.  My window is located just right outside of the Shinjuku Sanchoume Metro Station. 

When I arrived I got to say how I wanted my personal photos and items to be displayed...Thank you Pranks!
