My take on this party hopping experience...
Just like Tokyo, when there are like a ton of events to go to, it's important to 'follow the schedule'. Unfortunately, the schedule wasn't easily followed this time and we missed a lot of events that I wanted to go to. (Rachel Zoe x DFM + Mcdonalds with 2 chains were actually the ones I really wanted to go to...) It was my first time to experience this whole Coachella Parties shindig and it was a little overwhelming especially since everything wasn't conveniently located near each other. Having still not adjusted to moving back to the US, I had only 'heard of' some of the brands that were hosting events. I had fun tho and I met a lot of cool people. I took home the experience and will do better next year, if I decide to go again! Who am I kidding, I think I will be jumping on the band wagon next year and possibly even harder! lol I think I should bring Zooey next year and really only go to the events that are worth it-or maybe actually experience the concert. When I saw some people with their kids I was thinking..MAN, I wish I brought Zooey, she would have so much fun at these things!!! Now it's weekend 2..does anyone actually go to weekend 2? Do the brands do the same parties? How much does it all cost!? Tokyo doesn't really do anything like this...Imagine brands trying to throw parties near Fuji Rock or Summer Sonic. I don't think I can see any cool fashion brands doing anything cool in Niigata in the mountains near Fuji Rock. Or in Makuhari during Summersonic. Brands always plan something in TOKYO.. It just isn't the same...but an idea to ponder?
